Hi guys,
The company that runs the club House has invited us to give feedback as to what we would like, i.e types of drinks, snacks, decor etc.
Please let us know your thoughts. The meeting is on Tuesday morning!
Thanks!

How about a big screen showing "best bits" of Warrior games?
"Powerpoint" type presentation of the team playing that night - information similar to that shown in the programme
Couldn't get bovril in there at the Zebre game - would have been well appreciated that night as we were cold and wet on arrival.
Some Glasgow Warriors posters/banners on the walls
More tables - some that can be used to sit at rather than to stand at
Chains for the grouse statues - they wandered about a fair bit last night lol

First visit to Scotstoun for me. The "clubhouse" needs a lot of work. The PA system is a waste of time, no one can hear what is being said. Maybe this is because there is no sound dampening fabrics hung from the walls. A TV, a screen showing other games, banners nothing beyond the wit of man but would require some money.
Food wise, I'd like to think that chips and curry (a la Newport) could be added, but definitely not the faggots of Newport. There could also be hog roast (like Scarlets) or burgers (like Ospreys).
The beer selection is overpriced (£4.50 a pint I think it was) and poor but everyone connected with the club knows this and hopefully are already working to fix because if not it will become a white elephant.
And lets use the space, get some big (more than 6 seats) round tables up the far end. Blokes will stand but it needs to be more inviting for families.
Let's face it, they're not reinventing the wheel here. There are at least 8 other clubs in the league that do it well already. Maybe someone should speak to them.

Agree with more tables, chairs etc. Choice of drinks not too bad. Prices a bit of a shocker. Could do with some one from Warriors there for fans. Posters etc, yes. Membership for xvith warriors on show. Need something for atmosphere. Although, first time that I felt we were a club in years. Have to build on this.

Ok, I'm a bit late for posting anything that can be taken to the meeting on Tuesday, but I presume there will be other meeting?
Perhaps the biggest issue with the "club house" is that it's not our club house, but a "pop-up club house" as from what I understand the space needs to be cleared each week. Would be interesting to know if we're clearing it for potential or actual use by others. Until this issue is solved any gains made will be marginal, however, lots of marginal gains can be significant (just ask Dave Brailsford at team Sky Cycling).
Beer prices have been mentioned, but we need to add to this the cost of soft drinks. At the rugby club where we as a family are members the kids can buy a tumbler of diluted orange squash for 25 or 50p. Can we not do something like that - if we can't then I'm afraid (IMHO) that what we have is a commercial enterprise rather than a rugby club club house. On the choice of beers it would be good to see some real beer that is not full of chemicals or additives, Brew Dog, West, Innis & Gunn, Inveralmond, The Orkney Brewery Co, and so the list could go on. Who know's one of these companies could even take on the shirt sponsorship.
I like the idea of a hog-roast and have already suggested to the club that they connect with the local farming community (traditional supporters of Scottish rugby) via the local farmers market at Partick and get the guys who sell things like venison burgers and will boar sausages along.
On the outside of the hall, why not put a match clock on the south corner of the west gable, that would be seen by the people in the South Stand and would solve the issue of them not knowing what time has passed in the game.

Really disappointed that very little appears to have been done to improve the "Club House".
Tables to stand at appear to have been spread out to cover all the floor area rather than one half of it and there is no additional seating or tables for the seating.
On Friday night curry was on offer. Looked very good too, but felt sorry for folk who were trying to hold their drink and eat at the same time as there were no free tables for them to use and no where to sit.
It is fine that the people running the "Club House" asked for suggestions to improve it - just a pity that so far they seem to have ignored the various suggestions made.

We have been sending through the feedback. We will raise it again at the next meeting.

Excellent. Tables. Yahoo! But who stole the chairs? Small gripe I know but hey, am only happy when we are winning. Music a problem though. As we were first in (again), the choice & the volume left a lot to be desired. Got volume turned down & found that even the bar staff disliked the music. What is the latest on renovations etc? More tables & chairs to come?

Must admit I was very disappointed last night when I arrived at the "Clubhouse". As already mentioned, there were tables to sit at (3 in all I think) but chairs seemed only to be available at those tables.
The whole place looked pretty barren and uninviting. I really think that unless improvements are made people will vote with their feet.
We are more than half way through the season, we are paying premium prices for our drink (e.g. wine £4.50 a glass) and improvements are really needed ... come on the powers that be - get your act together!

Get some decent beer on tap would be good- also volume of the band pre-game means any rugby discussion is impossible. Post-game is not so vital !
